"Is it going to hurt?" I asked in a terrified voice.
My first visit to see an acupuncturist was one riddled in anxiety and fear. After the treatment I improved so much and felt so good that I knew this was going to help my health. I had been sick for a little over a year and most of my medical doctors only prescribed more medication at each visit to their office. Eventually, I was fortunate enough to have one of my doctors suggest acupuncture.
As my health improved, the theory behind Traditional Chinese Medicine began to fascinate me. A few years later, I left my job as an agricultural bookkeeper and attended the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences in Oakland, CA. It was there that I earned my Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Shortly after graduation, I passed the state board test, received my license, and started my acupuncture practice in Chico, CA. Having grown up in Los Molinos, I decided to expand my practice close to my hometown in Red Bluff, CA.
